Evaluation of administrative burden reduction programmes and their impacts

In this Annex, we look more specifically at the problems that may be faced by governments wishing to launch an ex post evaluation of an AB reduction programme. At first blush, the success of these types of initiatives seems rather easy to evaluate: as the goal of the reduction programme is expressed in quantitative terms (e.g. a 25% reduction of overall ABs), it might be sufficient to check that the target has been reached and then consider that the programme has been successful.
